Welcome to the Website for Woodside Priory, the only Benedictine secondary school in California! Many successful people remember a time in their teenage years when an inspiring teacher, an exciting class, or an unforgettable experience made a positive difference in their lives. We think students need many of these special moments. We have thought long and hard about how to create them.

An outstanding faculty and a rigorous college prep curriculum are important. So is the Benedictine vision of a learning community where members support one another. An upbeat campus atmosphere and broad co-curricular program also set the stage.

As you browse through our website, you will find that a Woodside Priory School education includes four additional components that set us apart. Students are encouraged to develop:

  • personal ethics
  • personal reflection and spiritual growth
  • a commitment to the campus community and larger world, and
  • an informed sense of direction in his or her life

To Students – A Priory education means there is a purpose in all of your classes and activities. That purpose is to discover who you are and how to make decisions that will help you achieve your potential and purpose. This is a kind of training that lasts throughout your entire life. If it sounds like a big task, don't be worried — you work at it every day almost without being aware of it in your normal activities with teachers and friends.

To Parents – The greatest reward for us as an educational community is seeing the tools we teach launch a young man or woman into a successful, satisfying, and independent life. If you think a Priory education may be for your son or daughter, please browse our website. Become aware why many say the Priory is the best education in the Bay area and why our graduates believe it has made them better people.

To New Users: You will find helpful information at the lower right corner of the home page, including privacy, reliability of information and other policies, and a help section for people who experience difficulty with the navigation system or wish to use information on the site.

Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about the Priory — inquiries are always welcome.
