Golden Jubilee Campaign
"We've had three kids at the Priory. We like the emphasis on values and strong academics. The Benedictine emphasis on how people treat others around them is very important to us."
At the beginning of the new century, Woodside Priory's Board of Trustees launched twin goals:
- To provide resources needed to attract and retain the best faculty in a competitive market
- To fund a just-completed Master Plan for new facilities that reflect in quality the community's high academic expectations.
The Golden Jubilee Campaign provides funding for those goals. Parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni families, campus faculty and administration, and friends of the school all contribute to the effort.
Phase One began in 2001 and is on schedule for completion for the school's Golden Jubilee anniversary in 2007-2008. Phase One goals include:
- On-campus housing (complete)
- Chapel renovation (complete)
- Endowment (Over $2 million has been raised towards a $5 million Phase One goal)
- Trinity Project ($9 million has been raised towards the $16 million
goal)
- Performing Arts Auditorium and Classrooms (View the construction webcam)
- Library/Technology Center expansion
- Student Center
Phase Two goals will focus on endowment and facilities, especially classrooms and athletic facilities. Some $10 million is already set as a preliminary goal; however, a more specific needs assessment and funding goal will be completed following Phase One completion.
Phase Three will be defined later and will include on on-campus housing and endowment.
