Photography
This course is intended to explore photography as an art form which will challenge the student to be creative and imaginative. Students will be expected to master the use of the 35mm camera and have some basic knowledge of both medium and large format cameras as well. Assignments will be given which will require students to carry out the complete photographic process from concept to finished, mounted print suitable for formal presentation. While the course will touch upon color work to some extent, the major proportion of work will be accomplished in black and white. The year will conclude with a student exhibit at the Spring Art and Music festival. Course Length: Year Long. Open to Grades: 11, 12. Prerequisites: None.
